The ultimate purpose of the I. C. NORCOM HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME is to stimulate excellence in those athletes who participate in the athletics programs at I. C. Norcom High School (ICN) by generating greater visibility for the High School and its academics and athletics programs. The I. C. Norcom High School Athletic Hall of Fame focuses on extraordinary contributions to the school’s athletic history by honoring athletes who have made a significant difference.
This event is a biennial program. We would like you to provide the committee with the names of people you know who have made extraordinary contributions to I. C. Norcom High School in athletics. We plan to have the next Inductee Program in December 2026. If you have someone you would like to honor, please contact a member of the HOF to receive a nomination application. Contact Lewis Taylor at (757) 535-2595 or email Lewis Taylor at lewis.taylor@cox.net.
By recognizing the past, we provide opportunities for the future. Our mission at I. C. Norcom Athletic Hall of Fame is to capture and recognize the great athletes who have passed through the magnificent halls of our beloved high school. Our future resembles a wall of fame listing these athletes. Please help us reach our goals by volunteering and donating to our cause. We look forward to receiving your nominations and support as we continue to honor athletes who wore maroon and gray while performing as extraordinary levels.

Dear Lord,
In the battle that goes on through life,
I ask but a field that is fair,
A chance that is equal with all in the strife;
A courage to strive and to dare;
And if I should win, let it be by the code.
With my faith and my honor held high;
And if I should lose........
"Let me stand by the road and cheer as the winners go by."
